Regarding the touch-free ones that don't do anything. I have taken my 80 through about every carwash possible, and I've found out that most of the touchfree are horribly lame. However, we have a Turbo 4000 or whatever it's called (someone mentioned it earlier), 'laser' guided rinse and dry (I never do the dry and not the laser rinse either). That thing actually works. It's all in the soap they use, they don't put on anymore than other washes, and the pressure is no more, but the soap actually gets the dirt off. Usually even on the windows, I have always been very impressed with this one carwash.
I like to wash my 80 by myself but jeebus it's alot of work on a fairly steep driveway, climbing on wet tires to get the roof, falling...screaming in pain..
That Dohickie 4000 is the only drive-through wash I'll go to, with any car, works very well IMO.
Just my $0.00 worth..
