that's a good story. Too bad you didn't take some pictures.

Those big domestic trucks are pretty awful in snow. They need 4wd to just be safe on semi slick roads.

I had a f250 4x4 that was absolutely dangerous unless I had it in 4x4. So imop if you need 4x4 to just be able to drive on roads..... it's crap. My old Mercedes with the nokians doesn't even spin a wheel,I can push that car thru like a foot of snow. Take a vehicle that is stable in 2wd then add the 4wd for the rough stuff and you will have a great offroader.

my land cruiser was pretty good in 2wd...heavy underpowered= perfect.

I was looking for the camera before I left as I wanted to take family pics up at the radio tower. It would have been nice to have a few pics to post on BC4x4 :grinpimp: for the boys that run full size 4bs.

Even noticed quite a few full size trucks running BFG ATs and they were sliding while we inch forward. Don't they have the snow flake?

I don't know how BFG AT's ever got that snowflake. While they work well in soft snow, they suck royally on ice or hardpack. No siping at all, and a nice hard rubber that makes them last a long time but doesn't help ice handling one bit.

Almost local.... I'm up in Smithers... :)

I took that funny front bumper off it and now have an ARB up there.... was that old bumper off a JDM 80? With Japanese bling spotties?? They were huge holes.... and nicely cut. But it didn't matter as my wife demanded to have an ARB on there :grinpimp:

You guessed it. Japanese bling spotties. Originally came with my HDJ. I swapped bumpers, then the bumper on the HDJ got demolished by a deer so I wished I'd left the holy one on it.

Turns out I need the chains after all! LOTS of snow on the Duffy and the plows weren't running fast enuff to keep it clear.
