Stuck in 4H please help

[Toro 85 BJ70]

It began to snow today so I pulled over, locked my hubs and put my 85 BJ70 into 4H. I got home and the snow had stopped and I tried to put her back in 2H and it wouldn't move. I turned her off and tried again and she won't engage back into 2H. She goes into N and 4L but no 2H. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Mine did the same thing for a while until one day it wouldn't budge. I got back to camp and sprayed degreaser on the linkage pivots then some wd and other stuff to keep them lubed for the remainder of the trip. Once I got home I pulled the linkages and fully degreased and cleaned. Then assembled with some light grease and it shifts like butta now

If you're stuck and need to drive on dry or wet roads you can unlock one of your hubs to avoid doing any damage until you can get 4H fully disengaged.

Thanks for the help. I got it disengaged by hammering it home while traveling at a low speed. I will definatley clean er up though. Thanks.
