Strange whine noise from engine

My 05 LX470 has a strange whining noise from rear of the engine and between the firewall. It is not the pulleys or PS pump. Checked vacuum lines, couldn’t confirm. It is a boeing 747 like sound, appears on hot days. Sometimes even when not so hot. At first it was intermittent, nowadays it is more frequent. When giving some gas the noise pause for a brief second and changes in pitch. Anyone has any similar experience? Is it the transmission? It’s not the alternator as the noise is there even when the belt is off. Please input your thoughts. I tried to attach the video here
 
My thought is a PCV valve. Had mine go bad on a BMW I owned a few years ago and it was a similar sound. Maybe worth a check.
