Strange sound

Any idea what this sound may be? It's coming from the steering wheel area.

its either the clamshell rubbing on the back of the steering wheel, or your clockspring

I was also thinking clockspring as nothing is rubbing on the outside. No warning lights on the dash so far. I'll probably pick one up when Toyota runs another sale.
