Straightening out running boards

Building on the shelf idea from another post. What do you guys think of using the two running boards as long shelves?

Call me crazy but it seems that there is a set posted for sale in this thread for $100. Almost seems like you want to talk about wanting them more than actually getting them. Officially disconnecting from this thread (but not posting my should-be-banned This Thread Sucks gif).

right after I got my cruiser, I jacked up the cruiser (because I got high centered in a snow bank) and made the huge mistake of jacking it up in the center of the running board.. .whoops... thats what happens when my mother in law is standing around..... Anyways... i tried jumping up and down on it to no avail... My boss (twice my weight) 400lbs... saw it went out and stepped up on the center of it... bounced twice and what do you know ... good as new. Worked for me... didnt cost a cent and made my boss feel good about him self... win win win!
