Storage - small items

I've had a heck of a time (read: total failure) finding something to store nuts, bolts, hose clamps, whatever. Small bins, mount to a wall is what I'm hoping to find. Don't want feakin' plastic, thank you. Do y'all have & use anything like this? I've looked around and not been at all successful unless it's $100's of dollars. Any suggestions or points??

Have you checked Fastenal? IIRC they have metal bins, but I don't recall the price.

Go to a daycare and ask if you can have the old baby food jars. Small compact and hold a good deal of stuff and, as stated above nail the tops to a board and screw the jars on.

I am using the Plano molding stowaway plastic box. I have a shelf in the garage where I can store 10 or so on end. The make drawer holders, but they are not as space efficient. I used to be able to be able to buy these from my local OSH, but they stopped carrying them, so now I get them at Cabellas. These boxes are great for storing lots of small items.

Get some of these.

I've seen them right full of 3/8 nuts and bolts and they don't even flex even though they're plastic. Here in Canada they're sold through Bolt Supply House. Vidmar, Lista, Lyon etc shouldn't go for 1.5-2k unless filled with stuff. They usually go for around 600 on ebay and cheaper at auctions.

You don't need that specific setup, but tons of places like HF, Northern, heck even Global have setups like that.
