Stolen Mirror!?

We got our mirror glass stolen ($260!) from our driveway at 11pm. Im curious, has anyone else had anything stolen without the alarm going off? I’m curious in what else might be targeted.

I had the plastic trim stolen of my side view mirror in a supermarket parking lot a few years ago. Glass was fine, just popped off the plastic trim piece (this was on a 2017 4Runner) no alarm triggered......

My guess on the fluid is it’s for the LCD based tinting feature.. and I seem to remember you do not want that stuff on car paint. Could be wrong about this part though.
