Stolen fj60 had its tag run in Cobb. Be on the look out!

Heart wrenching what this guy is going though his dog was in the truck. It was stolen in SC but apparently Cobb PD picked up the tag probably on one of the camera cars.

So did they actually run the tag? If so why didn't they pull them over?

I live in Cobb and the Cobb PD has been playing up the new camera cars they have that can drive around and pick up hundreds of tags an hour. My guess is the date base the car worked off it was not in it.
My understanding is in true big brother fashion the equipment stores all the data it collects and it wasn't till it was down loaded that it got the hit would be my guess.
