stock toyota springs

good evening all.

my wife and i just purchased a 99 100, and i was poking around a bit on the truck today.

i noticed that the rear springs are gray, rather than black. are the factory springs black, or are they other?

My 99 came with black spring. They are available with different rate from factory but not sure if they are marked with different color or just marking on the spring.

i'll check the springs a little closer when the snow lets up. the reason that i was looking is that the rear of this rig seems to sit a little higher than all the ones with the stock suspensions. it's also got a big receiver hitch and a trailer brake on it. 8^)
