Hey i have a 2001 LX470 with the stock radio that has the cd player and cassette player. i was wondering if it was possible to add bluetooth to the stock radio? if anyone has any information or links it would be greatly appreciated.

Interesting... can the BT45-TOY upgrade the factory BT from a 2005 LX470? Do you know if the steering wheel controls still function?

Dunno about that one, but a GROM BT3 unit can also serve as a hands free phone call bluetooth device in addition to streaming music. I was too lazy to run a mic since my 07 has factory bluetooth calling and I can just switch audio sources if streaming.

Yea, Ideally we'd be able to put the new unit it (GROM or USASPEC) and reuse the factory mic and wheel controls...

I don't think the BT45 can do this. It just takes over your CD function and acts as a portable bluetooth device to bridge the gap between your car speakers and your bluetooth device...... but to be fair I don't know, maybe somehow the steering wheel controls sync up to it but I don't see how they could

The steering wheel controls for BT music work just like they would for the other audio sources with the Grom.

i connect my iphone BT to both the factory nav BT for phone calls and the Grom for music. If someone calls me the factory UI works as it should.
