I've been searching far and wide for some replacement rear springs for my 88 4runner. I have already done the infamous zuk mod and don't like the ride or noises it produces. Form what I gathered it looks like I'll have to have a local spring shop build a custom set. Does anyone have any other ideas? I'm not looking to lift the truck just bring it back to original height. I don't think an add a leaf would do any good with these old worn out springs.

jc whitney maybe. Or go and get a set of old man emu 2 and a half inch springs u can findem for under a 100 bucks each if u search around

Ive heard the Jc whitneys sag out after a year and the OME give too much lift even with a spring removed. I don't want a ridiculous rake to the truck

A 2" spring is the only way to fix the issue.

I have a set of very good condition '86 springs sitting in my yard. The truck i took them off of was taller in the rear than the front (I doubt the bed was ever loaded).

PM me if interested. I also have OME 2" lift springs I could sell you.
