Stock 71' FJ40 in Charleston for sale

I saw this 40 last week before he listed it on ebay. It is sitting on Savanah hwy. He said he would take $7900 for it with the parts rig. I looked at it and it was pretty nice for a stock rig. Looks like original paint. The killer for me was the repair in the back. The floor was replaced with a poorly instally aluminum panel and it was missing part of the rear sill. The rust under the diamond plate isn't horrible, but would need to be replaced. It would make a decent restore candidate since it has so much unmolested stock componets. It's just out of my wallet right now. Let me know if I could help someone with this rig. I pass by it a couple of times a week.

He wants $1200 for the parts truck. I had emailed him on craigslist and then had to send a message through eBay b/c he woudlnt respond on craigs. Looks lie ktoo much $ to me. He was asking $7900 with the parts truck and thats the buy it now on eBay without the parts truck.

Without the parts truck I would probably give $4800 for it. If it had the hardtop I might would through a couple hundred dollars more at it. But he told me $7900 with the parts. So I would subtract the $1200 for the parts and take another $1500 off for the poor bed/sill repair. So that puts it at about $4200.

I looked at this one too. The floor is really poorly done in the back. If it was a later model with disc brakes, 2f, and 4 speed it may be worth closer to the asking price IMHO.
