I swapped mine on a day when it happened to be warm. Currently it’s 95% better but we will see when it gets cold again.

I replaced the spiral cable in mine and it didn't change the squeaky noise I have. There's plastic on plastic rubbing in there somewhere...ugh.
Did the spiral cable come in two parts. I noticed my invoice said there were "2 parts." Maybe the second wasn't listed?

I did notice the faintest sound come from mine when we had a string of 0-5 degree mornings last week, but nothing like it used to be. It was about 1% of what it used to sound like.

Nope, mine was one piece.

Temp dropped back down and my creaking noise is back. I should have sprayed more silicone while I had the wheel off!

That's strange. Temps have dropped into single digits for me and all I get is a very slight noise. The only thing I can figure is the dealer replaced something else in addition to the spiral cable listed on the invoice and since it was covered by the warranty, they didn't specify a part or price. I should have asked to speak to a tech instead of the service advisor and gotten a more specific answer.
