Steering stabilizers, where are you guys getting them?

I still think it is caster or shackle play, the kits above are what I think you want, but I don't understand the physics of the stablilzer helping you stay in your lane on the freeway. If you plan on entering the Baja 500 then might as well put on double up while you are at it.

Is there a way to get a stabilizer that uses the stock mount point on the frame and then goes to the tie-rod? The ones I'm seeing, aftermarket stuff, mounts to the axle with a bracket and then to the tie rod with a braket.

Does anyone make one that uses the frame stock location and then has a bracket that bolts to the tie-rod?

Matt, in case you haven't found a solution yet, here's what I did a couple days ago. I cut and ground the rivets from the original frame mount and moved the bracket to the driver's side. There were matching holes so all I needed was 2 bolts.

The other end is fixed to the drag link.

The stabilizer is from NAPA, made by Tenneco, which owns Monroe. I can get the part # if you like. It came with mounting brackets.

Monroe makes an oem stabilizer. Direct bolt on and it cost me like 20.00 I think.

Direct bolt-on OEM will not work with Saginaw steering. grrrrr

Sorry to hijack the thread, but Ive got the full rancho axle/tie rod stabilizer set-up w/ hardware for sale.. I used it once in conjunction w/ SORs beefy one that mounts in the factory position. With no power steering it was completely overkill on my rig, so off it came. Its basically brand new. If interested, shoot me a PM.
