Steering Stabilizer

Newbie with a 02/79 fj40. Wife wanted to show me that she supports the cruiser and suprised me with a rancho steering stabilizer she ordered from summitt racing online. All and all, she got a good deal but I had planned on going with one that mounted to the original brackets. This one mounts one end on the axle and the other on the tie rod.
Any one have a picture on how they mounted theirs or one similar. I would appreciate the help.

A damper attached to the tie-rod has a better chance of limiting shock and oscillation than one in the original location. When mounted in the axle - tie-rod position it is adjacent to BOTH steering arms instead of only one. Usually they fit high n tight and relatively safe from rock hits if the axle clamp is located on the drivers side of the rig outboard of the spring perch ubolts and well above spring. The other end will go to the tie-rod near the pumpkin. If you roll the clamps at both ends up a bit so the damper is above level with TR you will have ample clearance for all components involved.

Hey thanks alot guys, I'll put it on this afternoon and try it out. I wasn't sure if the axle clamp woulld work best on the driver's or the passenger's side, I'll put it on the driver's now.
