Steering Stabilizer Passenger Side Nut

The nut on the passenger side of my stabilizer just spins and will not tighten. The stabilizer is slightly loose and I can move it up and down about .5" or so. I tried to tighten the nut, but the bolt inside the stabilizer is just spinning. Any ideas ?
