When I turn my wheel in the AM and more often when I am stopped at any time, its makes a grrr/whrrring noise. I have a brand new remanufactured power steering box. I have high steer kit. I have also noticed I feel a slight resistance in the wheel at one consistent point. As I am driving down the road and preparing to do a gradual turn i feel the resistance. I can steer past the resistance point easily, but I do notice something.

Any guesses? Thank you.

maybe it's time to have your PS pump looked at. Also take a look at your PS lines from the reservoir, if they're folded up, coiled, or kinked. If the reman. box is trustworthy, then it'll have to be the pump, or general flow of fluids.

Thanks

:hillbilly: Thanks for the prompt CC. I learned a lot tonight: where my pump is, where all the lines are that connect to it, that I was missing a quart of engine oil, that I was a but low on brake fluid, and VERY low on steering fluid. Last but not least I used search also to discover that I need to use ATF on my PS reservoir, with Dexron. So, the noise is gone, the engine drank copious fluids, and all is well in 22RE land.
