I turn the wheel a few inches either way and the front wheels don't turn. Feels like there is alot of play to the wheel. What bushings would cause this?

Best bet would be to have someone else manipulate the steering wheel and watch the steering components and see what moves and what does not.

Hi Batalia

The most likely cause is the adjustable balljoint on the "pitman arm".

Then there are the other balljoints on the steering rods where excessive wear would cause this problem too.

And then again, it could be wear in your steering box.

And then again it could be wear in your steering idler.

Etc

Have someone wobble the steering back and forth while you look for where the movement is being lost (not being transmitted any further).

Ahhhhhrrr. Beaten to the draw by Poser!!!!
