Steering damper (1 Viewer)

What are the chances of finding someone here in the States that could rebuild a 1967 KYB steering damper?.....it's tired. And, is it worth the trouble? Sometimes I get a little overboard with correct parts when others will do the same thing. Also, did KYB supply Toyota the shocks as well?

Iirc, mine were tokico but i think kayaba made them also
