Have a 2013 Sequoia that was parked is a parking space. Went to start it and key will not turn and steering column is completely locked up and will not turn. If I lift the front end off the ground, will this take tension off so it will unlock the column and I can turn the key?

Thanks,
Bill

Turn steering wheel harder towards the right or left and then the key will turn and steering will unlock(turn direction they are currently turned while turning key, column can get jammed on lock pin)

Just so we’re talking this from shared knowledge, are you familiar with the steering lock mechanism that’s a way to slow down theft or to go to full steering lock with your FR tires jammed against the curb?(Parking on a steep street)

Are we beyond that?

— or if you turn the steering wheel L&R slightly while twisting the key in the ignition, it’ll come free & no floor jack.
