Wanted Steering column for 71 FJ40

I am stilling looking for the steering column I need. I have a 71 but, would prefer a column that does not have the shifter.

So any good column that will fit correctly that does not have the shifter will do.

all you can do is take the shifter off that was a 1 piece colum ,unless its been changed the colum can be cleaned up so you cant tell the shifter was on there
.otherwise i dont think anyone can help you. unless you buy all the stuff to convert to a 2 piece and thats a whole new ball game good luck

Ok.. That is interesting. Then I guess I better go after the 71 and try to remove the shifter.

all that stuff unbolts and comes off the colum looks pretty clean good luck

does the truck have a steering box in it or is the whole thing gone . i have every colum from every year fj40 made including some 71s that are already stripped clean also do you need the wheel and turn signal switch to go with it good luck
