i hate to have to ask this as I’m sure it’s out there & im not finding it now that I’m looking.

What OEM steel rims are there in 16x 6 or 6.5 wide? Regular style steel rims not wagon wheel style.

Something that would be usual in the U.S.

Cheers, Allen

In the 6 lug bolt pattern, I've always liked the T100 steel 16x6.5 wheels

Those are nice, but I’m looking for something that looks along the lines of the 16 x 5.5 split rims.
Not the exact style, just the plain utility looking rims.
I think the FJ70 May have had something along those lines?

That reminds me, I’ll try looking up FJ70 rims & see what they had.

Cheers, Allen

There is a 16 x 7 wheel for 70 series that would work. They look very similar to the 80 series steel wheels which are wider. But you can get them new from Toyota. I looked into it and I think @beno quoted about $100 per wheel. Shortly after that I happened on a set of 80 series wheels for almost free and so used those.

I like those T100 wheels listed above. I did not know about that option. I'll bet you can still get those new. Or, you could try a recycler.
