Starting The 91 FJ 80 Reconditioning

Starting long over due 91 reconditioning. All stock running great. Just fixing rust. Post a pic after she’s done

Yea she don’t have much power. Don’t like goin up steep hills fast or even going fast. But she has never left me stranded. Just like a good dog

Working on rusted out roof and rain gutter with epoxy. Will add some G10 also

Added some 1/4 inch G10 epoxy board to fill and strengthen things up. Not pretty now but she should buff up nicely, at least good enough

I would seriously consider cutting and welding.In a roll over which I have done.Your roof would collapse and the result could be fatal for you or others.

The steel under the top layer is all ok and fully intact. I have filled the area with layed up glass and g10. It is not just filled. It is actually structural and may even be stronger than original as this is how boats and planes are made. I have filled holes in the hulls of ocean going boats using this method. Still have some more lay up to do

Radiator. In. New battery. Took care of engine compartment rust. She started right up
