I have been rebuilding the 22RE for several months on my 92 xtra cab, 5-speed.. This is the first time I attempt at a rebuild and really look forward to getting my truck running again. I put the motor back in the bay yesterday. Do I need to prime the motor? How do I do this? Is there a process to follow to start the motor for the 1st time? How about break-in after I get it started? I am a newbie so any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

You can substitute Brad Penn oil for the expensive Joe Gibbs oil for your break in. The secret is the very high zinc content to properly break in the cam. It is believed by many that Brad Penn makes, the oil that Gibbs relabels.
