Hello, I'm right in the middle of changing out the starter contact points and plunger when I realized I may have the wrong part numbers. Does anyone know what would happen if I have a 28100-66060 starter and use the following part numbers? From what I read they are the wrong parts but install perfectly and the contact looks good. Any suggestions and help would be appreciated.

Plunger magnet 28235-54380
Starter Kit 28226-66060
Starter Kit 28226-72010

Thanks,

Chris

Check this out. https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/200165-starter-contact-part-numbers.html Peace!

Try calling CDan and asking him. You do need to know which starter you have. Find the part numbers before you call, or you will be calling a second time.

Chris, I just did mine two weeks ago. IIRC, what you have are the right parts for the starter (2.0kw version). You are fine...

Thanks everyone for the responses. Everything is working just fine.
