Wife was driving my 94 KZJ78 and couldn't start it. I got it home and confirmed, click but no start. I pulled the starter and opened it up, the contacts were pretty shot so replaced those with new OEM including the plunger and got it all back together. Getting a strong thunk from the solenoid now but that's it, the starter motor isn't firing. Do I just need to replace the whole starter? Or any other thoughts on next steps? Thx.
