In winter I use one of these to lock the truck and leave it running while making quick stops. For me the small blade insert isn't glove friendly.
In case anyone else has a use for a standalone door key, here are the oem part numbers.
Note: 2008-2015 models.
Toyota logo: 89785-12140
Lexus logo: 89786-50030
Alternative metal blank: 90999-00233
The requisite is to find a dealer or locksmith to cut it. Best to arrange that before ordering. Dealers can cut these by code. Locksmiths can copy from the insert if they have a “laser” (sidewinder) duplicator.
These logo blanks have transponder chips, but no programming is needed since they are door only.
