I have a 2009 LC200. Especially in hot weather, when I start the engine and the steering wheel lowers into place, there's a screeching sound. Wondering if there's a way to lubricate this, or do I need to just ignore it?

Why does the steering wheel lower into place? It should be set on one of the three presets on the door. I have a 2008 so could be something that I don't have.
Mine doesn't do that. Strange. It lowers into place because it automatically raises when you turn off the vehicle to the highest, farthest-forward position to make it easier to get out.
To the OP... Mine occasionally makes that sound. Pretty sure it’s the electric motor. A few months back, my driver seat forward/back motor did that for part of a day. No idea why—and it was quite annoying—but it stopped and hasn’t returned.
Yep, I have disabled the retraction for both the seat and steering wheel to lower wear and tear on the system. You can disable the wheel retraction in Techstream
My lx was squeaking when it retracted and was driving me crazy. I fixed it by just putting a light lubricant on the plastic surface of the steering column. Can't even remember what I used, but it worked. The plastic must have been rubbing causing the squeaking.
