Those vents were specific to the BJ42s also, coooooool...

There is a plastic outer piece missing, something like 40 bucks from toyota.

Now thats a cool TLC mag story, pictures are great.

how did you know my 45 came from Orcas Island? it did in fact, it was from Napa CA before that....pics of it being hualed from the orignal owne in Napa by a Fj55 to WA are in SOR catolog or were a few years ago. I got it from the fireman in Anacortes who got it from the guy on Orcas, he was the one that put the FF in the rear and some other stuff.

local here in town has a 78, he and his buddy bought a pair of them in 78, took the beds off(to make them a cab/chasis) in BC, drove them to WA, went back and got the beds...I forget the exact reason but it was to get them into the US legal-ishly

orignaly owner in Napa, he repaired chainsaws(still have the doors with the Stihl logo's on them) and have the warantee card from him.

I try real hard to stay away from craigslist. I have been good for a month or so, but Friday I decided to see what's out there, and just east of Seattle, a frikken beautiful '78 FJ45 lpb square bezel, tan Canadian style, excellent condition, stock... for 15,500.00. I emailed him and he said he was having showings and I could have the 10:00 Saturday morning time slot. Hmmmmmmm, I dont need two of them, and all my kids were due back on the island friday night, so I shined it on.... Anybody here know who bought it?. I'm guessing it was one of the two that came over with no beds earlier in this post. On Saturday afternoon he emailed me back to say it sold right away, and he was surprised how quickly it sold. I wasn't. I suppose a guy could buy a new ford ranger 2wd for about that and watch it depreciate, but it aint gonna be me. Damn, that thing was sweet.

this was one of the two that they brought in back in 78 without beds(then went and got beds) its not a sqaure bezel........and it was a real project, yeah it ran(like s***) and there was a ton of rot.......he wanted 10K....I offered alot less........and was glad he passed on it. ;) not sure where it went, he moved, he told me where he was going but forgot, not far.

but at least the folks(this case a lady) in my office keep an eye out for Cruisers, this was stuffed in the garage of a house that was listed in my office

So I'm guessing that the photo they posted on craigslist was taken about '79?;)
