yeah i know this gets asked, but for some reason i'm not getting anything in the search.
my buddy is running stock springs on his 77-40, and he wanted me to find out if it's worth spending his time cutting/bending this spring retaining clamp keeper thing to get more flex from his harsh ride.
anyone done this and noticed a difference? pics? measurements?

if we do his i'll make sure we take pics and measure any extra flex.

in the process of doing that mod right now. i'm installing open style clips so that the leafs can spread apart and allow for more overall wheel drop. but i don't really see this improving a harsh ride. maybe... how are the shackle angles and what shocks are you using? my rancho 5000s are stupidly harsh.
