Woody, I was in the Politics/Religion and the Seriously OT groups. I just tried to access them after a long time away, and it says I need to join. I rarely get on here much anymore, But I do enjoy the banter in those groups. How do I get accesses again?

It's a setting in your Preferences.

I prune the group every so often...ie: if you haven't been online in a few months.
