spare tire thoughts.

as you all know the spare takes up a huge amount of space.
we run 36 inch tires and in the Toyota with the bobbed beds it takes up almost the whole bed.

anyone ever find a thin spare? like something off an irrigation system that would be 36 inches tall. maybe like 4 to 6 inches wide?

the only thing I can come up with is and irrigation wheel and weld a Toyota center in it.

If your running bias ply, I recommend running a 34x9.5x15 super swamper.

Another decent option is a 33x9.5x15 BFG. I never mind running a smaller tire on an axle which has an open/selectable diff.

If you go with a smaller spare, move it to the rear when you have to use it. Make sure the two front tires are the same size and you won't have as much handling issues.

I don't remember what the sizes were, but some of the metric size tires for 16 and 17 inch rims come out to be 9.50x35 in size.

I'm in the same boat as you on this one. I'm running 36 IROK'S with a bob bed and with my full size spare it touches the tailgate and tool box. Locked front & rear so I kind of need to keep my full size also.
