You have to shim the jack slightly because you are moving the cross bar (and jack) up higher and its hard/impossible to get the hook into the nose cone of the jack otherwise.

@menancyandsam and @socalmtbiker, have been looking at doing this too, and had the same question y'all did. Can't find anyone who's done this with a charcoal-canister-by-the-spare model, but @LostAfrican replaced his early 100 (engine bay) canister with a generic model--seems like something like this might be made to work for those of us with rear-mounted canisters.
