Hello Mudders...

I am thinking of getting spacers installed on my 200. I am currently running 285/70/R18 Ridge Grapplers with a BP-51 lift along with UCA's. I have minimal to no rubbing with my current setup, but I feel like the setup would look better if the tires were out from the wheel well a little bit.

Is anyone running a similar setup and have any advice on if it is worth it or not? I was thinking of SpiderTrax spacers and doing a spacing of only about an inch or so.

I would appreciate any advice on it. TIA

I've had spidertrax 1.25" spacers since the day my rig was lifted (OME w/SPC UCA) At that time, I was running 285/65/18 Nitto terra grapplers on stock rims and preferred the look of having them poke just a bit.. I now have them on with rock warriors and 285/70/17 big ko2's and still dig the stance. Cheap and easy to try IMHO.

I didn't have any rubbing until i added the spacers. Be prepared to pull off your flaps or trim them...

Play with one of the calculators that does scrub radius and size according.

Looks like you need 50mm net offset or so. You’ll be flush with the wheel well around 40mm net.

I have 275s and a 35mm net and my tires are flush.

@grinchy, that web calculator is friggen awesome. Haven't come across it and didn't know one existed that helped visualize offset and scrub radius. Thank you!

Playing around with it, it doesn't seem like there's a way to adjust the kingpin inclination angle. That determines the projection of the ideal offset for different size tires. Played with the parameters including suspension clearance and it doesn't seem to change the angle. I believe our cars have a more aggressive inclination angle than what's modeled. At least it gives a visual sense of why offset is important, not just to clearance and stance.

You’re too kind! I’ve spent far too much time on that trying to visualize fitting various 35s.

I did see a calc somewhere that had kingpin angle. I want to say it was on a U.K. site. It drew little red lines for the scrub too.
