I got home a little while ago from our annual striper fishing trip. It's actually a striper/steelhead trip, but I'm too busy right now to take nine days off, so I took off early. Only stripers for me. But I'll go steelheading in a few weeks.

Upon unloading my memory card, I found some pictures from some trips I've taken over the last month or so. One trip to Crowley and two trips to Hot Creek. We did pretty good this past month. I'll have to take more fish pictures in the future.

I would love to but I m off work for my second knee surgery this year :-( and am in no shape to fish.. But appreciate the offer.. Can I take a rain check?? I am taking a fly tying class through Long Beach casting club starting next week if you are interested.. It's free:-)

NICE pics Mike... We were in the Bishop area a couple weeks back. I still need more casting practice...:crybaby:

If you need more casting practice long beach casting club has a casting pond... FYI

I've been fly fishing for ~17 years and tying my own flies for ~15 years. There's not much they can teach me.

I'm right there on Tuesday nights so I might drop in. But I'll probably just go to the pond and cast a few. I need to practice with my two handed rods and line them up properly.

If you can, take the nymphing class with Joe Libeu. He's a good nympher with years of fishing experience and is a certified casting instructor.

I think I've given first fly fishing lessons to two members here, Scott and Mark. And they both caught fish!

Just get out on the lawn or go to a park and practice if you can't be on the water. The best practice is to actually fish. There are a lot of guys that go to clubs like LBCC. They can cast alright, but they can't catch any fish.

We can hit up Crowley. I've wanted to get back there again before it gets chilly. You can use my kayak or my pontoon boat so your knees shouldn't be an issue. We'll see, I still need to get the rest of the troops together for another trip.

I have only been fishing a few years... And am not very good so I take advantage of what ever options there are.. Have always wanted to try tying flies and when I saw the class offered I thought why not.. Thanks for the offer and I still think I need not over do it so I am gonna wait it out.. Two surgeries in one year is enough plus I have almost no meniscus left.. I am too young for a knee replacement
