Anybody have a solution to the right lower catch on the tailgate not releasing? The left side releases as usual and I can hear the cable on the right side trying to engage but will not release.

You will have to access the cable/linkage from the inside. Pop off the plastic cover and remove the access panels. You should be able to get it to release with this method, that way you can work on the issue once its open.
