Solar Fridge?

Things look a bit misleading in that ad. They are trying to confuse you with bs. They call it "eco friendly" because you can charge it with a solar panel. If that's the case, everything is now "eco friendly". It isn't a solar powered refrigerator unless you happen to have a solar panel. I hate misleading disingenuous ads like this.

It says a 100 watt panel can charge the included battery in 4 hours. It does not say that it includes a panel. It sounds like the electronics might include a charge controller (no doubt a super cheap chinese PWM low power cc-these cost $5 on ebay)

The battery is TINY. 173 Wh is just enough to run it a short time, making this device fairly useless as a fixed camping fridge unless it's attached to your truck's 12 volt battery. I think you could do far better for much less, and have a better fridge to boot. In another part of the ad, it says the fridge uses 45 watts when running, so that's about 3 hours of run time on the on board battery.

So I would look at this as a no-name chinese refrigerator, with wheels and a tiny amount of onboard power that likely won't do much for you.

Stay away.
