in the before time, long long ago
I used waxed dental floss (not plain) and hand stitched my old top back together, I used an older top, plus denim (jeans) glued it with contact cement to patch a few larger holes and reinforced a couple of stress points
I touched up the floss stitching with a black marker and it looked fine. I ran it for a yr or more then sold it

I'm pretty sure it didn't take more then a couple of hours to do
if you're a rich guy, you can use mint floss and it will help cover up that old Cruiser smell

go see brenda at reed piont marina on the barnett hwy. She fixed up my top for pretty cheap. Put in boat grade zippers, ordered in material to match the top all for $60

sorry I have no phone number
