Does anyone have experience with soda blasting? I just acquired a 200 from New England and it has a decent amount of rust. It will now live in Southern California so hoping for a long lasting solution.
Key word: hope.

I guess you want to do it directly on the truck not on removed parts.
It is very messy. You'll need a respirator. You'll also benefit from a lift of some sort.
The space were you do it will get very messy.
You'll need to shieldmmask electrical and anything you do not want to blast like the body.
You'll need a good gun with an assortment of noses sizes.

You may want to do it outside using a portable lift.

Alternative solution is to clean the big rust as good as you can and use chemical/paint rust treatment on all rust following with paint and undercoating.

Even with soda you'll still need paint protection or even rust treatment for stuff you can't reach with the blaster.

i don't have any experience, but I've watched some videos of guys using dry ice.

wow that is very neat. I’d love to hear experience with someone who’s gone that route. Need a shop in Southern California too!
