Is the meeting open to anyone ? I am a TLCA member.....

The meetings are open to anyone interested. They are informal meetings where we typically eat dinner, bs about cruisers, plan runs, and kick tires. The meetings usually have anywhere from 15 to 20 people show up. Our members have just about all models of cruisers but the meetings seem to bring out more 40's than 80's. We are also getting a few FJ Crusiers in the club now. Anyone attending the meeting is welcome to plan a run (easy or hard).

Join us for a meeting and/or run or two and if still interested in joing the club we do have dues ($15). The dues cover most of the costs of a summer bbq and Christmas party and raffle prizes for the events. I hope to see some of you at the meeting!

Chris

It would be great to see some more SoCal 80's there.

It's really hard to plan a "meet & greet" for a diverse group. The last time I tried, I had to bail on my own suggested date because of a last-minute schedule conflict. These "M&G's" happen regularly!

...

The last time I went to a SoCal Land Cruiser meeting was 2+ years ago. It was the first time I met LXTreme and his rig. Also the first time I saw Tare (Newps) and his modded up 80 - actually the very first time I saw a lifted, Hanna'ed, Sleed, 315, and 4x4 Labs rear bumpered, and snorked 80!

I felt out of place as a newb with a stock 80 amongst 40s but Otis was a gracious and welcoming host .

It was a good meeting. There were about eight 40's (from bone stock to heavily built) and three wagons. Jerry's 60 is looking really sweet - new paint, new leather seats, RTT, awning, Engel fridge, new storage box, etc... Several runs planned, including a possible new "Adopt-a-Trail, check the SoCal TLCA website for details.

Thanks for the compliment! Unfortunately for you 80 guys the meetings consist of mostly 40's. However, most of our members are into any Land Cruiser. There are at least 4 regulars that have 80's but they do not always bring them. We would love to have a strong showing of 80's at the meetings and would even be happy if an 80 owner wanted to run the meetings (hint - we need a new president and the job is relatively low key and easy...) In any case feel free to stop by and check out one or two meetings and then join if you are still interested.
