I'm parting out what's left of an 85 Toyota front axle that I got just for the knuckles/'fields/discs for my cruiser. The housing is straight and has correct SOA pads already welded on. $50 plus shipping gets the bare housing only. See my other post for the remaining axle parts.

I'm working on pics. Old camera broken and I have not downloaded anything from new camera. The housing appears to be UNCUT with new perches welded on. The old perches are still in place.

I didn't know that. I wonder why this one has two sets of perches above and below. Thanks RK.

The 81 housing I have kicking around my garage only has a lower 'perch' on the passenger side. I think the main function is to keep the u-bolts properly spaced below the axle since that side has unequal-length bolts due to the flare for the diff housing. I don't think there's a lower perch on the driver's side.

Yep! Looked at it again yesterday. Both stock perches above and Pass side lower.

Anyone know some non-toyota IFS wheelers who want to do a SAS?

send them my way, price will be dropping then I'll junk them in a couple weeks.
