So I went to a skyline meet yesterday.....

Was not much of one, 3 cars at the Coquitlam Ikea.... This guy showed up, apparently the turbo kicks in at 5g and sounds like a jet taking off. The whole reason for going was my step-bro has a R32 and was chilling with him.

I decided to take my truck and then when I decided to leave they left their skylines and came over because they couldn't believe how fast my truck started, and their jaw's hit the floor when I put her in reverse and blinded them, I may not be fast but its all about reliability, for example about an hour or so later my step-bro blew his turbo revving it up on some side street. Its the second time for this car and its already been through one rebuild.

I had a similar set up in my Supra, big single turbo built engine and a 8500rpm red line. Hit boost hard a 4000rpm and would lay strips at 120km/hr down the hwy.

Went through a normal progression by the time I was done I had had 5 engines in it (ended with a built 2jz) and 16 different turbo's.

Land Cruisers are far far cheaper to modify.

Car did 620 @ 24psi on water meth after I sold it. New owner took it to the track on its street tune and did a 11.52 @128mph his first time ever at the track.

Fast cars are fun but $$$$

A few months ago a girl I knew sold her done up GTS-T for $2500 bucks.
I offered her that kind of money about 2 months before.
Sure would have loved to own that car for a summer. Would have been a bit of a project but fun....
Yet again I am enjoying my drivers license not owning a fast car.

Yeah, the R32's are going for almost pennies these days. Partially because there are so many on the market and partially because people haven't maintained them properly or they weren't in good condition when they were brought in in the first place. I'd love to give one a try, but can't bring myself to buy one.

Yet again I am enjoying my drivers license not owning a fast car.
