Warning on ATK brand
In 2003, because I didn't want to take my[only]car out of service for very long, I had the independent service place I was using put in a ATK 22RE "rebuilt" engine.
Little did I know that I could have had the engine rebuilt by a REAL rebuilding place for a bit more money and about the same time out of service(week to 10 days). The ATK had timing chain tensioner problems from the start, and very soon started making bottom-end 'tock-tock-tock' noises on a hot start. Then right after the 3 year/30K mile warranty was up, it started leaking oil, leaking coolant and burning oil. Finally took it out of service after 60K miles. Complete waste of money...a properly rebuilt engine would still be humming along without trouble of any kind. Verdict: ATK= Garbage, at least the one I got. Of course, you could always just take a chance...
BTW, the ATK engine was so 'un=rebuildable' that I had a very good place in San Fernando, CA, called Eddings Engine Rebuilders essentially build me one from scratch, using the reusable parts from the old engine. But it cost big, over $4K(including R&R)
