Snorkel antenna relocation

I thought I'd post this in the electronic toys section also in case I get a few more hits there, but posted in build thread also. Truck in question is an FJ62.

New snorkel blocks the stock antenna location. Don't really want to drill new holes in a truck already extremely prone to rust. I was thinking of putting something like a firestik on one of the ARB bumper top mounting tabs? Any other good locations? I also want to put my Yaesu 8800 in this truck (pull it from the Tundra), so that may mean two antennas mounted on the front bumper...which seems silly in my head. Any thoughts? On location or antenna recommendations?

Just installed a new Alpine stereo with HD Radio and plan on using it .

This is slightly a different set up, but I just installed a stainless whip for the cb and a stainless whip for the HAM on the front ARB tabs. I like the look. That is what the tabs are for at the top. Both my antennas stick up over the roof line a ways.

Sounds good, got a pic floating around somewhere? Which antennas did you use?

I will try to get a picture later today. However, I use Larsen NMO mounts with Larsen antennas for each appropriate use. I went to HRO and they set me up.

Thanks! Helps to visualize better . How's the performance with the hammy antenna up there? As good as anywhere else?

I haven't tested the CB, but the 2M sounds better than my mag mount.
