I wont say they are the best but when you have a tool in your hand all day every day the fit and finish really does make a difference. The snap on rachets are very nice. The polished wrenches are the best. The big rolling boxes are the standard that the entire tool industry follows but I love my Husky boxes (same as crapsman).

My wrist and hands hurt by the end of the week unless I am very careful in what tools I use and how I use them. That is why I will buy and use some snap on.

David,
A little late to this but here's my .02. The truck should be your best bet given that your time is money. When the crapsman tools fail you have to go to Sears and deal w/it, sometimes they don't have the tool and that requires another trip. Time is money. Snap On make the best HAND tools in the business period. They are the only ones who can make a screwdriver that will break the head off a slotted screw every time! The tool boxes suck if you ask me-you've seen mine: built like a chevy. I've owned a Snap-On lift and it was super reliable though it was a PITA to use.
My rule is: If it is a general use tool or scanner/meter buy Snap-On. If its a piece of equipment buy for the best value.
i.e. I have a Coats tire machine and a Harbor Freight press. I even had a lift stand from harbor freight that was a 10th the price of snap on but twice the quality!
Oh yeah, to answer your question the snap on guy can move alot on the price just get his respect and and work 'im down.
