I just recently got an 1983 FJ60 with a SBC 327 in it. It came with the original pump mounted up higher on the motor (not sure if original mount or not). After having the guys at OTM Cruisers rebuild the gearbox, the pump is now leaking a little and I wanted to change it. Was going to just go for a standard Saginaw pump, but wanted to know if anyone had any tips on the correct mount or placement (are there issues for mounting location with SBC?) Seems like as long as I get a metric threaded pump, there shouldnt be a hose problem. But its a bit of a frakenstein and I thought Id ask rather than hunt through thousands of threads to find a needle in the haystack.
