Is it 3 or 4 speed? Pros/Cons. Better than a TH350? Thanks

Technically a 4 speed, but you drive it on the street like a 3 speed. First is used only on the trail.

As far as which is better, everyone has an opinion on that. It's ultimately up to you.

(I have a 420). :D

G - 1 - 2 - 3

3 is 1:1 just like the stock Cruiser manuals, and like the TH350 and TH400 automatics.

G is 7.02:1

The SM465 is similar, G - 1 - 2 - 3 with a 6.55:1 granny.

IMO, for general reliability and trail use, stick with the manuals. If you wanna get into comp settings, then look at the TH350...I'm torn right now on my winter swap plans, but have thus far been really happy with my SM465.

So your top end (on the highway) is going to be the same regardless. Only benefit is the granny to be used off road....or rush hour traffic :)
