So I have spent the last 4hrs trying to get my sm420 to bolt. I just realize that the 3spd clutch does not match the sm420 input shaft. So I have the right clutch now.

My question is, what else do I need to do, other than install the new clutch to make it work. (I don't want to have to take the bell housing appart again).

Right now, everything from the bell housing it stock 73'. I haven't made any changes (other than changing the clutch to a chevy one, but I haven't done this yet). Also, It's an F engine.

Thanks in advance.

IGNORE---So the Input Shaft Bushing gets driven right into the crank shaft bearing?--- IGNORE

It all make sense now. I don't need the index ring becuase the sm420 I bought has custom plate (i guess) that is the same size as the Toyota one.

But I do need to have the sleeve made and go to the GM dealer and find the bushing.

Thanks for the info.

- Rico.
