Wanted SM 465 Needed

I'm looking for a sm465. Thought it would be easy to find one locally, but so far no luck. Started calling around and got tips on who may have one. Finally did find one shop with in reasonable driving distance who has one, but would definetly need rebuilding. His price on rebuilt was $475. Don't know any more info on this tranny, except top cover currently not on, and proabably full of dirt and who knows what else.

From reading other threads, I was hoping to find one in working condition in the $150-$200 range. Any tips out there on where to find one? Or should I investigate further the possibility of getting the one I described rebuilt?

the sm465 is the auto or manual (forgive my ignorance)? I have both but I if it is the auto I can't tell you much about it. If it is the manual, it was working fine when pulled. Shipping will be a bitch though.
